Frequently Asked Questions

Plans & Pricing

What’s included in the Lite plan?

Exterior glass on the first floor, up to 15 panes, detailed squeegee finish, quick frame wipe, and a photo receipt.

How do you count a “pane”?

Until further notice any continuous piece of glass is considered as one pane. Mullions/dividers that break the glass into separate pieces count as multiple panes.

What if I have more than 15 panes?

It’s $2 per additional pane—keeps it simple and transparent. Your total updates instantly in the form.

Do you clean interior glass on Lite?

Lite is exterior only. Interior touch-ups are available as an add-on or part of Standard.

Do you do second-story windows?

Yes. Route crews service ground-level storefront glass and second-story awnings/signs and windows reachable by pole. Multi-story glass or roof access is by quote.

Can I switch plans or cadence later?

Yep—self-serve. Changes take effect on the next billing cycle (or sooner if we’ve not routed your next visit yet). Routing typically takes place 1-3 days after a customer has been charged.

Billing, Invoicing & Prepay

What are my payment options?

Monthly (pay-as-you-go) or prepaid Quarterly / Semi-Annual / Annual at a discount.

How big are the prepay discounts?

Quarterly: 5–8% off; Semi-Annual: 10–12% off; Annual: 15–18% off. We grandfather your rate if you renew on time.

Can I add panes or add-ons mid-term if I prepaid?

Sure—added items prorate for the remainder of your prepay term and renew with your next cycle.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Monthly can cancel anytime before the next route day. Prepaid plans are non-refundable but fully transferable to a new tenant at the same address.

Do you charge card fees?

No separate fees—everything’s built into the subscription.

Scheduling & Access

When do you service my block?

We cluster by corridor to keep prices low. You’ll see your default service day during sign-up; rescheduling links are in every reminder.

What if it rains or snows?

Light rain: we still clean (glass dries spotless). Heavy rain/unsafe wind or temps below our safety threshold: we auto-reschedule within 72 hours and text you.

Do I need to be there?

Nope. Exterior cleans are zero-touch. For interiors or locked courtyards, we’ll set up access notes or a keypad code.

Chicago-Specific Rules We Follow

Do you let wash water go into storm drains?

No detergents or polluted wash water go into storm drains. Chicago prohibits “illicit connections” that send non-stormwater (including wash water) to storm sewers; we collect/redirect when needed and discharge only per rules (for example, non-detergent routine exterior building wash down is recognized as an allowed flow under DWM’s regs, but we still minimize runoff and protect inlets).

Are there time restrictions for washing windows/sidewalks?

Yes. From May 1 to Oct 1, it’s unlawful to wash in a way that causes water to run or fall on public sidewalks between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. We schedule around this and use containment so we don’t obstruct sidewalks. (American Legal Publishing)

Where do you discharge captured wastewater?

When capture is required (e.g., degreasers, heavy-soil spots), we discharge to the sanitary system with property permission and within local POTW limits, never to separate storm drains. Illinois EPA guidance and MWRD rules cover these practices. (IEPA, mwrd.org)

Do you need a special permit to pull water from a hydrant?

Yes—temporary hydrant draws require a City Hydrant Use Permit; the City’s Water Plan Desk handles HUP payments/processing. We only use hydrants when a job specifically calls for it. (Chicago)

Add-Ons (Any Plan)

Sidewalk wash + eco-odorizer:
A low-pressure rinse and botanical odor neutralizer along your frontage. Food-heavy blocks love this.
Façade spray (sign/awning/brick):
Foam-on, low-pressure rinse for dust, pollen, and leaf stains.

Quality & Operations

How do you prove a good clean?

Photo receipts in your portal + time-stamped route logs. If anything’s off, we re-touch within 48 hours.

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes—general liability, workers’ comp, and surety bond. COIs available on request.

Do you bring water or use ours?

Exterior glass typically uses small onboard tanks and purified water. For sidewalk jobs we use the property’s spigot by default; if hydrant use is ever required, we obtain the City’s Hydrant Use Permit (HUP) as required and follow all terms. (Chicago)

What’s in your eco-odorizer? Is it safe for pets?

We use an enzyme-based odor eliminator. All ingredients are used in low concentrations, with water making up the vast majority of the formula. The product is non-toxic, biodegradable, and designed to be safe for people, pets, and landscaping.

On the Day

Can you move sidewalk signs, sandwich boards, or patio furniture?

We’ll shift light items to clean underneath and put them back. Heavy planters or bolted fixtures stay put. Anything beyond that would be subject to a fee or requested to be moved by you prior to cleaning.

Do you handle sticker glue, paint overspray, or graffiti?

Yes, but only on glass and frames. Some jobs may require a scratch waiver. These jobs are available by quote. Some residues require specialty solvents and wastewater collection.

Can I skip a visit during construction next door?
Totally. Hit “Skip this visit” in your portal at least 24 hours before your route day. We’ll move you to the next available slot.

How rescheduling works:

Monthly plans
You can reschedule within the same calendar month. There are no rollovers into the next month.

Prepaid plans
(Quarterly / Semi-Annual / Annual): You don’t lose visits for skipping. Your included visits can be rescheduled any time within your prepay period. Unused visits expire at the end of that period.

Less than 24 hours’ notice
We’ll try, but we may not be able to adjust that day’s route once crews are dispatched.
Tip: If construction is ongoing, switch to an earlier or later service day in your portal so we’re hitting you when dust is lowest.

Safety

What about ladders and pedestrians?

We cone and keep a spotter when needed, and we avoid ladder work in busy doorways during peak hours.

What temps are too cold to clean?

We pause exterior cleans near/below teen digits (wind-adjusted) unless safety and finish quality can be guaranteed—your route auto-reschedules.

Account & Support

How do I change my pane count after the first visit?

We photo-audit on visit #1. If the count is off, we adjust your subscription (up or down) with a one-click confirm.

Do you offer referrals or affiliate links?

Yes—each account gets a referral QR. When a neighboring storefront signs up, both accounts receive a service credit.

Can we get our block a custom tee or plush for the window?

Yes—Prime+ subscribers get limited drops; others can buy online. We do block-name editions if 6+ stores opt in.
